I love meal salads (which I have always referred to as dinner salads, regardless of when I eat them), so I was excited to read Renee's book. What I didn't expect to love and appreciate so greatly were her dressing recipes. I have long since had down how to make a nutritious meal from a salad. My parents taught me well. Nonna A taught my dad well. Eating fresh produce is in my blood. But fancy dressings? I never knew. I have always been a homemade, super simple vinegar-with-a-little-olive-oil-and-herbs-dressing kind of girl. Renee has some amazing dressing recipes.
This cookbook is worth every penny (and you don't have to spend many). If you don't know how to deliciously make a meal out of a salad, this is for you. If you do, but need some new ideas or want to add some zing to your salads, this is for you.
