I think I say and feel this every summer, but I feel like a little kid this year, desperately eager to escape the confines of school and get this summer show on the road. I am absolutely exhausted. This school year, Isabella has been at a brand new Waldorf-inspired charter school. Anyone that has been at a new school (or really, any involved parent) can tell you...it is a lot of work. Basically, I feel as though I have had an additional job, unpaid. I have willingly done so, because I feel so strongly in support of the school, the community, and selfishly, the benefits my girl is reaping. But between that, my family, my existing mini homestead responsibilities, and a refinance we have been steadily working on for our house, I am wiped out.
Therefore...a summer manifesto, something I have created the past two years, is very much in order. With 5 days and counting down, creating this personal little list is very much a carrot, dangling out there for me!
